Booth Vibe
Keep It Light + Bright
Makers Mart is a thoughtfully curated shopping day, and your booth is part of the overall experience. Think warm, creative, and inviting. More boutique or studio, less traditional trade show.
Displays + Linens
We encourage thoughtful displays with dimension, texture, and personality. If using linens or fabric, please choose light and bright options. Black stretch tablecloths and other traditional conference-style linens are not permitted. We encourage creativity by holding a booth competition where the winning booth gets a full refund of their booth fee and are highlighted on all our social media platforms.

Floors
Vendors are responsible for protecting the venue’s hardwood floors. Please use protective pads under tables, chairs, racks and other furniture or displays that could cause damage. Any damage caused by a vendor’s booth or display will be the vendor’s financial responsibility.
Wall Displays and Tents/Canopies
Creative displays and backdrops are encouraged, but nothing may be affixed to the venue walls. Tents and canopies are not permitted.
Event Day

Early Setup
Vendors may opt to set up on Friday, the day before the event, for an additional $20 fee.
Load-In + Load-Out
Detailed instructions, including where and when to unload, will be sent before the event. Please plan to unload independently and bring a cart or dolly if needed. Makers Mart is not able to provide unloading assistance.
Parking
There is plentiful free parking at the venue.
Breakdown
Booths must remain open and staffed through 5 PM. Breakdown may begin once the event has closed and must conclude by 7 P.M.
At Your Booth
Booth Staffing
Your booth should be staffed throughout the event. If you’re vending solo, we understand you may occasionally need a quick break.
Booth Helpers
You’re welcome to have someone help with setup, breakdown, and staffing your booth.
Food + Drinks
We recommend bringing food and drinks in a cooler. Food vendors will be available, but you may not be able to get away from your booth, or lines may be long during peak times.
Extra Inventory
There is no separate storage area for extra inventory. All inventory and supplies must stay neatly within your assigned booth space.
Selling at Makers Mart
Price Points
Makers Mart shoppers purchase work across a wide range of price points, with giftable items around $25–$30 selling especially well. We encourage vendors, when appropriate for their work, to offer a mix of giftable items, mid-range offerings, and larger or higher-priced pieces, which make for compelling displays and can lead to sales both during and after the event.
Vendor Sales
Makers Mart does not take a percentage of vendor sales. Sales made at your booth are yours.
Payments
Vendors are responsible for processing their own sales and should bring everything needed to accept their preferred forms of payment.
California Seller’s Permit
A valid California Seller’s Permit is required for vendors selling taxable goods. Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting all applicable taxes.
Approved Products
Please sell the products and work represented in your accepted application. If you’d like to bring something substantially different, contact us ahead of time.
Insurance + Liability
Insurance
Vendors are responsible for maintaining any business and liability insurance appropriate for their business and participation in the event.
Liability
Vendors are responsible for their own property, merchandise, displays, sales, and participation in the event. Makers Mart and its event and venue partners are not responsible for vendor property that is lost, stolen, or damaged, or for injury or loss arising from a vendor’s setup or participation.
Promotion
Event Promotion
Makers Mart promotes the event and our participating maker community through event marketing. We also encourage vendors to share Makers Mart with their own audiences leading up to the event.
